Highly recommend that you book a charter. The Captains have tons of knowledge and are networked with all the other Captains so they have real time updates on what fish are biting and where.

It can be hit and miss because of the water temperatures and weather, but Apalachicola is a great place to fish!

Maybe go in the summer. We lucked out with weather, but it would have been nice to be able to keep some red snapper and gag grouper. I am highly susceptible to sea-sickness, but I wore a patch behind my ear, which works great! BTW... we also caught a Lane snapper a flounder and a trigger fish!

While we caught more fish than we expected, not all were keepers. Just remember that the Captain is doing his best to put you on the fish but can't guarantee that you will catch big fish (or any fish at all). Also keep in mind that the time of year we went (in October) many fish are not in season, so we only went after fish species we could catch and eat.

Bring some Sun screen and a few cold drinks. You can catch a lot of fish fishing in the bay if you are unsure about going out into the ocean.

Good amount of fish caught. Most not what you would keep to eat I think wrong time of year for that. Weather was nice got cool at night bring a jacket for the ride home. Did catch some we could have kept chose not to.
